2trckrs Label Launches Vinyl Imprint With Record by Nulek

Breakbeat, techno and more on the four live takes forming the EP

Barcelona-based independent label, 2trckrs, has announced the launch of its vinyl series with the release of an exciting debut EP entitled "4 Da Streetz," produced by the label's founder and creative force, Nulek.

Each of the four tracks that you will find on the record was recorded in one take, straight from the machines into the mixer with minimal post-production, giving the EP its distinctive raw, analogue sound. The record comes as a true representation of the label's ethos, which emphasizes the creative and unpolished aspects of the electronic music styles it covers.

The EP opens with the hard-hitting title-track, a collaboration between Nulek and JJ Beteta. The track is a blistering breakbeat composition that immediately transports the listener onto the dance floor with its driving percussion and sizzling acid bass line. The raw analog energy of the track is infectious and sets the tone for the whole record. The second track, "108 Room," is a solo effort by Nulek, bringing its rhythmic parts to a more techno structure. The kick is hypnotic, the bassline psychedelic, and its synths and dark nightmarish samples add the right touch of psychedelia to the mix.

Flip the record, and you got “Año 3333,” a collaboration between Nulek and Telva. This very original work comes as probably our favorite track on the EP - the stripped-down breakbeat groove touches on all the right frequencies for an afterparty banger, thanks to its neat rhythm, kneaded basslines, and trippy right-before-the-drop vocal samples. The record’s final track, "Acid Ride," is another solo track by Nulek. The track title is quite explanatory as the label boss aligns all the right elements for an enjoyable acid techno ride.

Overall, "4 Da Streetz" is a thrilling vinyl debut that shows how live takes can enhance creativity, and minimal processing in the after-production can come as a plus. The four tracks are banging, original, and showcase the raw, unpolished sound that 2trckrs is all about. We will be closely following 2trckrs and its future releases.
