Transcending Modern Techno Sounds - With Jos ’Supersonic EP’

The new release on Spacedust is as inventive and moving as it is elegant

‘Supersonic’ Cover

I have to admit I was rarely struck by a record as I was by the upcoming Jos on the relatively new imprint ‘Spacedust’. Right from the first track, its peculiar sound got my full attention - ‘Supersonic' is interesting, deep, groovy, and just majesticly produced. ‘Polvere Di Stelle’ (spacedust in Italian) opens as the A1 in full force - this track has a unique depth to it, with a full sound encorporating very present and insistent pads with other spacy synth arpeggios, while at the same time hits hard with a non-stop steady, captivating groove. Listen exclusively in full to this track on our channels:

The rest of the EP keeps the quality high and consisent - ‘Infrared’ on the A2 shows a more minimalistic and rhythmic-focused approach to the EP’s sound. ’Supersonic’ elegantly incorporates acid basslines for a pure lysergic effect, and ’Night Vision’ closes things of with a slighly more tech-housy, yet still very trippy, style. We are sure Jos’ release will not only hit dancefloors hard this year, but will also remain a classic for years to come with its deep and spacy sound.
